As previously said, I have loved to learn about so many amazing initiatives and people, and I am grateful the author put them all together in this book.
After thinking about the many questions raised and trying to reach a conclusion, I am curious to know: beyond feeling optimistic, did the author finished his adventure thinking that any of the innovations he saw will scale and be part of the general public’s life in his life spam?
I would like to thank the author for sharing some time with us.
Meeting all these people and participating of their enthusiasm must make a difference. When reading about all these developments in a book, you might think it is interesting, but you don’t get easily carried away. Do you think you got carried away by their optimism?
Being an optimist person and after learning so much in your trips, isn’t it disappointing to come back to the real world and realize that those new and fantastic technologies that could improve everyone’s lives are not getting far? At least, I am disappointed. Maybe I am impatient, but I wonder what we are waiting for.
By the way, I want one of those solar chargers for my mobile phone!! :-)
As some of you already know, Mark Stevenson contacted us and was very happy that we chose to read his book in our little club. After reading the book, some of our members asked him some questions, and he said that the best answer was reading the Epilogue of his UK 2012 edition. So he forwarded it to us. Even if you didn't read the book, maybe reading the epilogue will give you a taste of it! We have sent the epilogue through email to our members, but let us know if you do not have it and we will send it over.
