  1. I am a freak, I know, but I had to share this with you.

In Salinas, California, there is a John Steinbeck House, the writer's boyhood home. This house is a museum and a restaurant, and not only the menu sounds good, but the Oprah Winfrey and members of her book club visited the Steinbeck House in September of 2003. And I couldn't help thinking of our bookclub in a study trip to Salinas! Ahhh, wishful thinking.

Have a look at the official website: http://www.steinbeckhouse.com

It is also very interesting that in Salinas there is The National Steinbeck Center, the only museum in the U.S. dedicated to a single author.

Maybe one day one of us will have the chance to visit both! And he/she must submit a detailed report of the trip.

    3. Ahhhhh that would be so nice! The plan is good, somehow the logistics are a little bit complicated :-)

But the main question is... who is going to be Oprah?????
